I made some mittens and a matching hat from an old sweater I got at the thrift store. I look horrible in hats but at least I’ll be nice and warm when winter comes. Oh yeah. Umm If you want the patterns I used just ask, I got them off a random site using google. The mittens took a bit of work/time since they’re not just the simple “trace your hand and cut” but they come out better quality.
